In 25 words or less...

This amuses me: the AutoSummarize function in Microsoft Word. I have yet to figure out what its rules are. That will be the project of another summer.

Nanowrimo 2006, in 20 sentences:

Io woke. Io? Io sighed. Io slowed.
Io screamed. "Io? Io turned. Io smiled. Io noticed. Io! "Io! Io!"
"Io!"
Io."
"Io?" Io laughed. "Io! Io! "Io!"
"Io?"

Nanowrimo 2005, in 20 sentences:

"Mum! JEFF… !!!
Jeff. "Robby!" "Robby!" "Robby!" Robby! Robby!"
"Mum! Mum?"
"Robby?"
"ROBBY!"
"Robby! "Robby? "Mum!! "Mum!"
MUM!"
"Robby!"
"JEFF!!" "JEFF!!"

And finally, Nanowrimo 2004, in 20 sentences:

John gulped. thought John. John sighed. John gulped. John smiled. thought John.
John gulped. wondered John. John's dead!"
John snorted. thought John. John."
"John, John, relax. John sighed. "John."
thought John. "John… John?"
John ducked. thought John.

Well, exactly. I couldn't have put it better myself. If I was Yoko Ono or maybe Fatboy Slim, I would publish this right now, and buy World Peace with the royalties. Or a super never-ending block of Orange Intense, oh wow, that'd be something...

Why does blockquoting screw up my line spacing?
